The fourth racket of the world, Austrian tennis player Dominic Thiem, at the start of the Hamburg European Open competition defeated Uruguayan Pablo Cuevas, who occupies the 47th place in the world ranking, – 6/3, 7/6 (3).
For 1 hour and 40 minutes of the match, Dominic made four aces and two breaks, making a double mistake when serving. Whereas Pablo filed three times through and realized one break point, making five double faults. Through personal meetings of opponents was 5-2 in favor of the Austrian.
In the second round of the tournament in Hamburg, Thiem will play with Hungarian Marton Fucsovics.
