Austrian Dominic Thiem commented on his victory over Canadian Milos Raonic and the upcoming final against Swiss Roger Federer in Indian Wells.
“I knew that the match against Raonic would be difficult, he had an incredible serve, so I expected it to go to tie-breaks. I played well throughout the match, almost did not allow unforced errors and showed an excellent percentage of the first serve. I did a good job on the game in my pitch and did not give Milos a chance to break. His only break-point in this match was in the last game, but I did not allow him to realize.
As for the meeting with Federer, the matches with him are always special. Especially if you play in the finals of the Masters. This is my third final in tournaments in this category, and the statistics are completely disappointing. It won’t be easy for me, but I am ready to give all my strength on the court to win my first Masters, the ATP press service quotes Thiem.
