Argentine tennis player Diego Schwartzman overcame the barrier of the second round of the competition in Buenos Aires, beating Slovenian Aljaz Bedene in three sets – 6/4, 2/6, 6/2.
For 1 hour and 22 minutes of the match, the 19th racket of the world, 26-year-old Diego, sold six break points and twice made a mistake when serving. The 29-year-old Bedene, who occupies the 57th position in the world classification, took an opponent five times, made five aces and two double mistakes. The Argentine reduced the backlog in personal meetings of players – 1: 2.
In the quarterfinals of the Argentina Open tournament, Schwartzman will play against Spaniard Albert Ramos.
