Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev broke the barrier of the quarter finals in Sofia, beating Slovakian Martin Klizan in two games, – 6/4, 6/1.
The match lasted 1 hour 9 minutes. The 16th racket of the world, 22-year-old Daniil, recorded four breaks and nine aces. 29-year-old Klizan, occupying the 38th position in the world classification, performed three aces and made four double mistakes.
Russian widened the gap in the personal meetings of players – 2: 0. In the semifinals of the tournament Sofia Open, Medvedev will play either with Frenchman Gael Monfils or with Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.
