Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev overcame the barrier of the quarterfinals of the tournament in Brisbane, beating Canadian Milos Raonic in three games – 6/7 (2), 6/3, 6/4. For 2 hours and 9 minutes of the fight, the 16th ATP rating number, 22-year-old Daniil, recorded two breaks and 12 aces, activating three times in the wrong. 28-year-old Raonic, ranked 18th in the world classification, completed 29 aces and made five double faults. Russian widened the gap in the personal meetings of players – 2: 0. In the semifinals of the Brisbane International competition, Medvedev will play either with Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga or with Australian Alex De Minaur.
