Croatian tennis player Borna Coric broke the barrier of the second round of “Masters” in Monte Carlo, beating the Spaniard Jaume Munar – 6/7 (3), 7/6 (1), 6/4.
The fight lasted 3 hours and 22 minutes. The 13th racket of the world, 22-year-old Borna, made four breaks and three aces, mistaken three times when serving. 21-year-old Jaume, located on the 61st line of the world table of ranks, three times took the submission of an opponent, made five aces and one double mistake.
Previously, the players did not meet each other. In the 1/8 finals of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters tournament, will play with Kei Nishikori or with Pierre-Hugues Herbert.
Note that this meeting was the longest in the ATP tournaments in 2019.
