The press service of Tennis Australia has released a statement saying that it has stopped supporting Bernard Tomic in connection with his media coverage. According to AFP, we are talking about the participation of Bernard and his father John in the 60 minutes program, where the latter accused the current captain of the Australian team at the Davis Cup, Lleyton Hewitt, that he caused his son a psychological trauma in 2010.
“We are extremely disappointed with disrespect from Tomic and his father. For ten years we have given them full support, but it is time to draw a line because their behavior makes this support impossible in the future,” said Craig Tiley, head of Tennis Australia, in a statement.
