German tennis player Alexander Zverev went to the second round of the tournament in Marrakesh, beating Denis Istomin from Uzbekistan in two sets – 6/4, 6/4.
For 1 hour and 21 minutes of the match, the third racket of the world, 21-year-old Alexander, recorded two breaks and 13 aces, making a mistake twice when serving. Istomin, 32, who is in 104th place in the ATP ranking, performed three aces and did not make double mistakes.
The German has increased the gap in the personal meetings of players – 2: 0. The next opponent for Zverev in the Grand Prix Hassan II competition will be Spaniard Juame Munar.
