Czech tennis player Petra Kvitova broke the 1/4 finals of the Australian Open, beating Australian Ashleigh Barty in two sets – 6/1, 6/4.
For 1 hour and 8 minutes of the match, the sixth racket of the world, 28-year-old Petra, made three aces and three breaks, having made a mistake twice when serving. 22-year-old Barty, who occupies the 15th place in the WTA rating, double-ran through and made one double mistake.
Czech remains the leader in the personal meetings of athletes – 4: 0. In the semifinals of the tournament Kvitova will fight with the American Danielle Collins.
