The Dallas Open is an ATP 250 tennis tournament that will take place on the hard courts at the Altec Tennis Complex in Dallas, USA.
The Altec Tennis Complex is a state-of-the-art facility located at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. The complex features both indoor and outdoor tennis courts, as well as a training center for student-athletes and coaches. This allows for year-round training and competition, making it an ideal location for the university’s tennis program.
The facility also boasts patron accommodations that are designed to provide an enhanced spectator experience, including special guest amenities and a club area. In addition to serving as the home of SMU’s tennis program, the Altec Tennis Complex is also set to host the ATP’s Dallas Open, marking the return of ATP Tour tennis to Dallas for the first time since 1989.
The 2023 Dallas Open is the 2nd edition of the tournament for men. It will take place from 6 to 12 February 2023.
ATP 250 Dallas Open Prize Money
The prize money purse at the ATP Dallas Open has slightly increased for the 2023 tennis season. The total prize money came to – $713,495, up 0.70% from 2022. The champion in Dallas will receive just over 16% of that total –$112,125 if he wins the trophy. The runner-up will receive a small payout, pocketing $65,405 for her efforts. There is a significant drop off in prize money after the semi-final stage, with the two losing players in that round taking home $38,450 each. Those eliminated in the quarter-finals will receive $22,280 for their efforts. First-round losers will walk away with $7,905.
