The 63rd world number one, American tennis player Tennys Sandgren, defeated Briton Cameron Norrie, who ranks 93rd in the world rankings, in the final of the ASB Classic competition – 6/4, 6/2.
For 1 hour and 18 minutes of the match Tennys made seven aces and four breaks, wrong twice when serving. Whereas Cameron filed through seven times and realized one break-point, making two double mistakes.
This title was the first for Sandgren in his career and brought him $ 90.990 in prize money and 250 rating points.
