Canadian Eugenie Bouchard told us how she was affected by the prolonged interruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
“I think the hardest part is the lack of work and a plan. “I’m used to planning my life. It’s like I’m in a total void now, it’s psychologically difficult.
Usually we don’t have so much free time, it’s unusual for us. I was going to do some Challengers. I was just on my way to Vegas airport to fly to Guadalajara when my agent called me and said: “The tournament can be canceled without getting on a plane.” And then it was like a movie, so I turned around and drove home waiting for new information. The next day, the tour was suspended for six weeks. When it’s over, I’m going back to the tournaments as soon as possible because that’s what I have to do,” Tennis Channel quoted Bouchard as saying.
