French tennis player Jeremy Chardy overcame the barrier of the quarter finals of the tournament in Brisbane, beating Yasutaka Uchiyama in three sets of the Japanese, – 6/4, 3/6, 7/6 (4). For 2 hours and 7 minutes of the fight, the 40th racket of the world, 31-year-old Jeremy, made three breaks and ten aces, making the wrong mistake eight times. Uchiyama , 26, who is ranked 185 in the world rankings, took the opponent four times, made 12 aces and six double faults. Previously, the players have not met each other. In the semifinals of the Brisbane International competition, Chardy will play with either Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov or Japanese Kei Nishikori.
