40th World Racket, Frenchman Jeremy Shardi, beat German Jan-Lennard Struff, who is ranked 57th in the ATP ranking, with a 4/6, 6/3, 6/4 score at the start of the Brisbane tournament. Tennis players spent on the court 1 hour 39 minutes. During this time, 31-year-old Shardi completed 15 aces, made a mistake four times in filing and implemented two break points, while 28-year-old Struff filed a full ten times, made two double mistakes and made one break. Earlier in personal meetings was 3: 1 in favor of the German. In the second round of the Brisbane International competition, Shardi will play either Nick Kirgios, an Australian, or Ryan Harrison, an American.
