Spanish tennis player Fernando Verdasco could not overcome the barrier of the quarterfinals of the tournament in Eastbourne, losing to the American Sam Querrey – 6/7 (4), 2/6.
For 1 hour and 36 minutes of the match, the 36th racket of the world, 35-year-old Fernando, made 17 aces and six double faults. 31-year-old Sam, who occupies 79th place in the world classification, made two breaks and seven aces. The American remains the leader in the personal meetings of the players – 5: 1.
In the semifinals of the Nature Valley International competition, Querrey will play with Italian Thomas Fabbiano.
