Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas broke the barrier of the 1/8 finals of the tournament in Rome, beating the Italian Fabio Fognini – 6/4, 6/3.
For 1 hour and 12 minutes of the match, the seventh racket of the world, 20-year-old Stefanos, made four breaks and three aces, making a mistake once. 31-year-old Fognini, who occupies the 12th place in the world classification, took the opponent’s serve twice, made one ace and one double mistake.
Greek increased the lead in the personal meetings of the players – 2: 0. In the quarterfinal of the competition Internazionali BNL d’Italia, Tsitsipas will play with Roger Federer.
