Bulgarian tennis player Grigor Dimitrov could not overcome the barrier of the first round of the tournament in Rome, losing to German Jan-Lennard Struff, – 4/6, 7/6 (5), 3/6.
The match lasted 1 hour and 59 minutes. The 48th World No. 27-year-old Grigor took the opponent’s pitch twice, made six aces and one double mistake. Jan-Lennard, 29, who is 51st in the world classification, recorded four breaks and 17 aces, having made a mistake twice when serving.
In personal meetings, the players established equality – 2: 2. In the second round of the competition Internazionali BNL d’Italia Struff will play with Marin Cilic .
