Croatian tennis player Borna Coric broke the barrier of the Masters first round in Rome, beating Canadian Felix Auger – 6/7 (4), 6/3, 6/4.
The fight lasted 2 hours and 29 minutes. The 15th number of the ATP rating, 22-year-old Borna, made three breaks and five aces, making one mistake when serving. The 18-year-old Auger, who occupies the 30th place in the world classification, once took an opponent’s pitch, made seven aces and as many double mistakes.
In personal meetings of players established equality – 1: 1. In the second round of the Internazionali BNL d’Italia tournament, Coric will play either with Australian John Millman or Briton Cameron Norrie.
