Austrian tennis player Dominic Thiem went to the Masters’ quarterfinal in Madrid, beating Italian Fabio Fognini, – 6/4, 7/5.
For 1 hour and 29 minutes of the fight, the fifth racket of the world, 25-year-old Dominic, made two breaks and six aces. 31-year-old Fabio, located on the 12th place in the world classification, did not pass through and made one double mistake.
The Austrian has increased the gap in the personal meetings of the players – 3: 1. In the quarterfinals of the Mutua Madrid Open tournament, Thiem will play with the Swiss Roger Federer.
