Italian tennis player Marco Cecchinato could not overcome the barrier of the third round of the tournament in Monte Carlo, losing to Argentinean Guido Pella – 4/6, 6/4, 4/6.
The match lasted 2 hours and 14 minutes. The 16th World No., 26-year-old Marco, took the opponent four times in a row, made four aces and four double faults. 28-year-old Guido, who occupies the 35th place in the ATP rating, recorded five breaks and three aces, having made a mistake twice when serving.
The Italian remains the leader in the personal meetings of the players – 2: 1. In the quarterfinals of the Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters competition, Pella will fight the winner of the Bulgarian game Grigor Dimitrov and Spaniard Rafael Nadal.
