The 11th World No., Croatian tennis player Marin Cilic, in the second round of the Monte-Carlo Masters Rolex competition, was defeated by Argentinian Guido Pella, who occupies 35th place in the world ranking, – 3/6, 7/5, 1/6.
For 2 hours and 16 minutes of the match, Marin made four aces and five breaks, making a mistake seven times during the service. While Guido five times filed through and realized eight break points, making two double faults.
Score in personal meetings of opponents was 2: 1 in favor of the Argentine. In the third round of the tournament in Monaco, Pella will play either with the Swiss Stan Wawrinka, or with the Italian Marco Cecchinato.
