The 21st racket of the world, the Belgian David Goffin, beat Argentinian Guido Andreozzi, who occupies the 84th line of the ATP rating, with a score of 6/1, 6/4 at the start of the “Masters” in Monte Carlo.
The match lasted 1 hour and 25 minutes. During this time, the 28-year-old Goffin completed five aces, twice made a mistake in the filing and realized four break points, and the 27-year-old Andreozzi never gave a pass through, made six double mistakes and made one break.
This was the first official meeting of athletes. In the second round of the tournament Rolex Monte-Carlo Masters Goffin will fight with Serb Dusan Lajovic.
