French tennis player Gael Monfils broke the barrier of the second round of the tournament in Rotterdam, beating Italian Andreas Seppi in three games – 4/6, 6/1, 6/3.
The match lasted 1 hour and 35 minutes. The 33rd World No. 32, Gael, made five breaks and 11 aces, three times wrong in the pitch. The 34-year-old Seppi, who occupies the 40th place in the ATP ranking, took the opponent’s serve twice and did not make double mistakes. The Frenchman has increased the gap in the personal meetings of players – 4: 2.
In the quarterfinals of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament, Monfils will play either with Mikhail Kukushkin from Kazakhstan or with Bosnian game Damir Dzumhur.
