Tenth racket of the world, American tennis player Serena Williams defeated her compatriot Alison Riske, who is 55th in the world ranking, in the Wimbledon quarterfinal – 6/4, 4/6, 6/3.
For 2 hours and 1 minute of the match, Serena recorded six breaks and 18 aces, making a mistake twice when serving. While Riske took the opponent’s pitch five times, she made one ace and six double faults. Through personal meetings, opponents became 1-0 in favor of Williams.
In the semifinals of the “Slam” Serena will play with either the Czech Barbora Strycova or the British Johanna Konta.
