Czech tennis player Tomas Berdykh made it to the 1/8 finals of the Australian Open, beating Argentinian Diego Schwartzman in four sets – 5/7, 6/3, 7/5, 6/4.
For 3 hours of the match, the 57th World No., 33-year-old Tomas, recorded three breaks and 19 aces, making a mistake once. 26-year-old Schwartzman, who occupies the 16th place in the ATP rating, once took the opponent’s serve, made eight aces and two double mistakes.
Previously, the players have not met each other. In the fourth round of the tournament, Berdych will play either with Australian Alex De Minaur or Spaniard Rafael Nadal.
