Yulia Putintseva was born January 7, 1995 in Moscow. Her parents are Anton and Anna. The athlete also has a brother, Ilya, who is engaged in hockey.
Yulia was brought to tennis by her father, she was trained in Moscow club “Spartak”. She began a sports career in 2010, but in 2012 Putintseva decided to play for Kazakhstan due to lack of funding from the Russian Tennis Federation.
Her favorite stroke is on the forehand and her favorite surface is the ground. Her tennis idols are Martina Hingis and Justine Henin. Most of all Julia likes to perform at the Australian Open and US Open.
In her free time, Putintseva likes to dance, sing, solve Sudoku, play cards and chess.
