Roberto Bautista Agut was born April 14, 1988 in Castellón de la Plana, Spain. His father, Joaquin, is a banker and his mother, Esther, owned a clothing store. His father was involved in soccer, so until the age of 14, Roberto played for the Villarreal junior team. The Spaniard has been playing tennis since he was five years old.
Now Roberto also lives in Castellón de la Plana. The tennis player began his professional career in 2005, two seasons later winning his first title at Futures.
