Rafael Nadal was born on June 3, 1986 in Manacor, Mallorca, Spain. His father Sebastian is a businessman and his mother Anna-Maria is a housewife. For a long time, Nadal trained under the guidance of his paternal uncle, Tony.
Now Nadal also lives in Manacor. The tennis player began his professional career in 2001, and in 2002 he won his first match in the ATP base. That same season he won six ITF events, winning 20 consecutive bouts.
Rafael is left-handed but writes with his right hand. Initially preferred a two-handed backhand, but later changed his hitting style under the control of Uncle Tony. In 2016 he founded his own tennis academy in Mallorca.
