Kiki Bertens was born December 10, 1991 in the Dutch city of Wateringen, where she currently resides. Her parents’ names are Rob and Dore. Kiki has two sisters, Joyce and Daisy. The athlete took her first steps in tennis at the age of six.
Professional career Bertens began in 2006. Three years later Kiki won her first ITF title and in the 2011 season played her first main draw match at a WTA tournament. The Dutchwoman won her first WTA title in 2012 at a tournament in Fez, Morocco.
Bertens calls Kim Clijsters her idol, and her favorite surfaces are hard and clay. In her free time she enjoys shopping, reading books and listening to music, as well as going out with friends
