John Isner was born on April 26, 1985 in Greensboro, North Carolina. His father is Robert and his mother is Karen. He has two older brothers, Nathan and Jordan. Before beginning his career, Isner graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in speech communication.
John currently resides in Dallas. The tennis player began his professional career in 2007, making his debut at the core of ATP competition that season, winning his first Challenger title and several victories over top-10 players.
Isner’s favorite stroke is the forehand and his favorite surface is the hard court. In his spare time the tennis player plays poker, golf and basketball and enjoys fishing. John does charity work, raising money for the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center program, which helped his mother, who had cancer.
