Aryna Sabalenka is a professional tennis player from Belarus who has already won 9 tournaments. Numerous victories at tournaments have helped her rise to No. 7 in the WTA rankings, in January 2021.

Aryna Sabalenka was born on May 21, 1998 in Minsk, where she currently resides. She took her first steps in tennis at the age of six, when her father Sergei brought her to the local club.
Aryna started her professional career in 2012, taking part in ITF competitions in Belarus. Three years later, Sobolenko won three trophies at ITF singles tournaments. In 2017, the Belarusian played in the WTA main draw for the first time. In the same season, she managed to reach the final of the tournament in Tianjin, where she lost to Maria Sharapova.
Arina calls the Swiss Roger Federer her childhood idol and role model. In her free time, Sobolenko enjoys reading books, as well as meeting with family and friends.
Sabalenka dreams of having a dog and adores the pancakes her grandmother makes. Her favorite book is “The Count of Monte Cristo”. Her favorite movies are “Titanic,” “Home Alone” and “Never Give Up.
