Anett Kontaveit was born on December 24, 1995 in the Estonian city of Tallinn. Her father Andrus works as a manager in the Tallinn port and her mother Ulle is a tennis coach. The athlete has a half-sister.
Anette first picked up a racket at the age of six, and began her professional career in 2010. It wasn’t until the end of 2013 that she was able to make it to the WTA Tournament in Oakland.
Her favorite stroke is the forehand, her favorite surface is the hard court, and the tournament is Wimbledon. Tennis idols are Maria Sharapova, Roger Federer and Victoria Azarenka. The goal is to be in the top 10.
