Alison Riske was born July 3, 1990, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Her father Albert is a former FBI investigator and her mother Carol is a former school teacher. The athlete also has a brother, Daniel, and a sister, Sarah.
Allison first picked up a racket at the age of three, and started her professional career in 2009. In April 2010 Riske played her first main draw at a WTA event in Charleston and then made her Top 100 debut in 2013.
The American plays in an aggressive style. Her tennis idol is Monica Seles. In her free time, she likes to write magazine articles, read and socialize with her family and friends. If she did not become a tennis player, she would go into medicine.
