The seventh racket of the world, Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, won the Chinese Zhang Shuai, who is in 50th place in the world ranking, in the Wimbledon quarterfinal – 7/6 (4), 6/1.
For 1 hour and 26 minutes of the match, Simone made one ace and three breaks, making a mistake when serving. Whereas Zhang once gave right through and realized one break-point, making two double mistakes.
Score in the personal meetings, opponents became equal – 2: 2.
In the semifinals of “Slam” Halep will play either with Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, or with Czech Karolina Muchova.
