For 1 hour and 45 minutes of the match, Rafa made four aces and six breaks, having erred three times when serving. Whereas Joao filed four times through and did not make double mistakes.
Score in the personal meetings of opponents was 3-0 in favor of the Spaniard.
In the “Slam” quarter-finals, Nadal will play either with Tennis Sandgren from the United States or with another American, Sam Querrey.
