Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina could not overcome the barrier of the third round, “Roland Garros”, losing to Spaniard Garbine Muguruza, – 3/6, 3/6.
For 1 hour and 28 minutes of the match, the ninth racket of the world, 24-year-old Elina, took delivery of the opponent four times and made one double mistake. Garbine, 25, who is ranked 19th in the WTA ranking, sold seven break points, completed one ace, and made a mistake three times when serving. Ukrainian remains the leader in the personal meetings of athletes – 6-4.
In the 1/8 finals of the tournament Muguruza will play either with the American Sloane Stephens, or with Slovenian Polona Hercog.
