American tennis player Madison Keys overcame the barrier of the 1/8 finals of the French Open, beating Czech Katerina Siniakova – 6/2, 6/4.
For 1 hour and 16 minutes of the match, the 14th World No. 24, 24-year-old Madison, realized five break points and made one mistake when serving. The 23-year-old Sinyakova, who occupies the 42nd place in the WTA ranking, took the opponent’s bid twice, made two aces and two double faults.
Previously the athletes have not met. In the quarterfinals of the tournament, Keys will face off with Australian Ashleigh Barty.
