Karolina Pliskova, who is currently participating in an exhibition tournament in Prague, commented on the probability of the US Open and the limitations of the tournament.
“At some point, we’ll have to resume the season because the sick will be next year. I don’t think we should wait for super safe conditions yet. So the sooner we start, the better.
As for restrictions, I would be happy if I could take two people with me,” The New York Times quotes Pliskova.
In last year’s drawing of the US Open Karolina reached the 4th round of competition, where she unexpectedly lost to the British Johanna Konta in three sets.
The best result for the sportswoman is still the entry to the final of the US Open in 2016. Then Karolina lost the final match to Angelique Kerber from Germany.
