Argentine Juan Martin Del Potro, starring after winning the first round of the tournament in London, will undergo knee surgery.
“Last night, Del Potro examined the knee at a clinic in London and found that the athlete again had a fracture of the patella of his right leg. After consulting the doctor, it was decided that an operation would take place in the next few days. We will keep you informed.” reports the ATP press service.
So far, the athlete has not officially withdrawn from Wimbledon, but the chances of recovering for the tournament, which starts on July 1, are quite small.
