The German team defeated the Spanish team at the Hopman Cup tournament, which takes place in Perth, Australia. In the first match Angelique Kerber in three sets was beaten by Garbin Mugurusu with a score of 6/2, 3/6, 6/3. Then Alexander Zverev defeated David Ferrer in a bitter struggle, – 6/4, 4/6, 7/6 (0). In the doubles match, the German team was again stronger than the Spaniards, – 4/2. 4/3 (3).
