The Australian team defeated the French team at the Hopman Cup exhibition tournament that kicked off today. In the first match, Matthew Ebden in three installments broke the resistance of Luky Puye with a score of 3/6, 7/6 (5), 6/2. Then Ashley Barty got the better of Aliza Korne – 7/5, 6/3. In the doubles meeting, the victory was left to the French, – 4/3 (4), 4/2.
