The Australian team turned out to be stronger than the Spanish team at the Hopman Cup exhibition tournament, which takes place in Perth – 2: 1. In the first match, Ashleigh Barty took over Garbine Muguruza – 6/3, 6/4. Then David Ferrer equalized the score, beating Matthew Ebden, – 7/6 (1), 7/5. In a doubles match, Barty and Ebden defeated Muguruza and Ferrer with a score of 3/4 (3), 4/3 (0), 4/3 (3).
