37-year-old Spaniard Feliciano Lopez commented on his long career in Tours.
“For four or five years, I think the next season will be the last for me. I did not expect to be playing for so long. It’s not normal. Nevertheless, I am glad that I can play. I will definitely perform at the US Open by recording in another asset of the Grand Slam tournament.
It’s hard for me to fly. Two hours on the plane seem like a whole day. I train a lot in the gym, but it’s hard for me to spend a lot of time on the court. But I find a balance because I have enough experience. Most importantly, I love my job.
I think it would be dishonest to leave now. I deserve another year on Tours, ”the ATP press service quoted Lopez as saying.
