Ukrainian tennis player Elina Svitolina broke the barrier of the 1/4 finals of Wimbledon, defeating the Czech Karolina Muchova, – 7/5, 6/4.
For 1 hour and 31 minutes of the match, the eighth racket of the world, 24-year-old Elina, made six breaks and two aces, making a mistake once when serving. Muchova, 22, who is ranked 68th in the WTA ranking, took a rival four times and made one double mistake. Ukrainian woman increased the gap in the personal meetings of athletes – 2: 0.
In the semifinals of the competition, Svitolina will play with Simona Halep.
Note that for the first time in her career, Elina reached this stage in the Grand Slam tournaments.
