The seventh racket of the world, Ukrainian Elina Svitolina, defeated American Madison Keys in three sets, occupying the 17th line of the WTA rating, with a 6/2, 1/6, 6/1 score in the fourth round of the Australian Open.
The meeting lasted 1 hour and 36 minutes. During this time, the 24-year-old Svitolina completed three aces, made four wrong mistakes when serving and sold four break points, and the 23-year-old Keys filed three times, made one double mistake and made two breaks.
Earlier in personal meetings was 2-0 in favor of an American. The next rival Svitolina in Melbourne will be Japanese Naomi Osaka.
