For 2 hours and 8 minutes of the match, Denis made 16 aces and two breaks, making four mistakes when serving. Whereas Taro filed six times right through and made five double faults.
Through personal meetings of opponents was 1-0 in favor of the Canadians. In the third round of the Australian Open, Shapovalov will play either with Serb Novak Djokovic, or with Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
