16-year-old American Cori Gauff told how she survived the quarantine and how ready to return to court.
“It was the longest break I spent at home, but before, even in juniors, we distributed my tournaments so that I had two or three months to rest. So I did not feel a huge difference. I perceive it as a small pause, and I also had the opportunity to train.
I continue to develop. It helped me a lot that these few months I could work on certain aspects of the game. Plus I spent time with my brothers and family. And now I am glad to return to the competition, I missed the game.
I think my goal for the rest of the season is to enjoy tennis. I don’t really care about the results and the rating, but it is at such moments that I show my best tennis, “the WTA press service quotes Gauff as saying.
