Canadian tennis player Bianca Andreescu commented on her success at the US Open.
“I worked hard and I’m glad that it paid off. The passion for the game never left me. Of course, there were times when it was not easy to maintain optimism.
It seems to me that participating in the 1/2 finals of the “major” is a dream come true. However, I definitely know that I deserve to be here. If someone told me a year ago that I would play in the US Open semi-finals, I would call this person crazy. But now I want to go even further.
In the course of the meeting, I told myself that the struggle should continue and not look at the bill. I tried to act more actively than in the starting party. At the beginning of the fight I made too many mistakes.
Now I have to play with Bencic. We trained together once. I know that she likes to play in an aggressive manner, trying to take the ball early. I will have to focus on my game.
I think that any of the remaining participants in the tournament can count on the title. If I achieve victory in the semifinals, then in the decisive match I will still meet with an incredible athlete, “the WTA press service quoted Andreescu as saying.
