Fourth racket of the world, Japanese Naomi Osaka, took over Slovene Tamara Zidansek, which occupies the 78th line of the WTA rating, with a score of 6/2, 6/4 in the second round of the Australian Open.
Tennis players spent on the court 1 hour 4 minutes. During this time, 21-year-old Osaka completed six aces, once made a mistake when serving and sold five break points, and her age-mate from Slovenia filed twice, made two double mistakes and made two breaks.
This was the first official meeting of athletes. Osaka’s next rival in Melbourne will be Taiwan spokeswoman Hsieh Su-Wei.
