Tournament CEO St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy Alexander Medvedev shared his expectations from performing at Maria Sharapova competitions.
“The idea with Maria’s participation arose after the first tournament, we communicated with her team and with her personally. You remember that two events overlapped – disqualification and injury.
Before the last tournament we set a goal for her to come to our tournament. All members of our team participated in the preparation of her arrival. Despite the prevailing opinions about her capriciousness, they were far from reality.
Sharapova plans to fly on the 24th. Her team will be four people, she will come with her mother, “- said Medvedev.
